"An interactive online resource for learning biology developed at the University of Arizona."

  • BioMedia’s Educational Multimedia Biology Site
"BioMedia Associates is a group of biologists, teachers, educational designers and film-makers who collaborate to make learning programs for biology."  In addition to their commercial products, the site contains biological photo galleries and free teacher resources.

  • DNALC
"The Dolan DNA Learning Center (DNALC) is the world’s first science center devoted entirely to genetics education and is an operating unit of Cold Spring Harbor Laboratory, an important center for molecular genetics research.  The DNALC extends the Laboratory’s traditional research and postgraduate education mission to the college, precollege, and public levels."

  • Frontiers in Bioscience
"An electronic journal and virtual library has been created in order to facilitate rapid dissemination of scientific data as well as to provide investigators with numerous online tools for use in their day-to-day research activities."

  • The Genome Database
"The Genome Database (GDB) includes curated information about the human genome.  The database includes not only the results of the Human Genome Project, but also the most recent annotated information identifying genes and gene function.  This worldwide project involves hundreds of scientists whose empirical results ensure the quality and currency of the GDB data."

  • HHMI’s BioInteractive

  • The Institute for Genomic Research

  • Journal of Biological Chemistry
The World Wide Web version of the Journal of Biological Chemistry.

  • National Atlas of the United States
"The new National Atlas includes products and services designed to stimulate children and adults to visualize and understand complex relationships between environments, places, and people.  It contributes to our knowledge of the environmental, resource, demographic, economic, social, political, and historical dimensions of American life."

  • National Science Foundation

  • The Sciences Explorer
"Our goal is to create an educational learning experience in the field of science while maximizing the fun, excitement, and innovation all through the internet.  We have divided our explorer into four major facets, Math, Biology, Chemistry, and Physics . . . .  In addition, we have provided an Interact! section so that users from all over the world may be able to talk and collaborate with each other on the science topic."
